What is the meaning of life?
How does one find fulfillment and purpose?
Will I be remembered, and if so, how?
Storytelling is universal, an inherent part of the human experience. We all carry stories that are as profound as any play, worthy of being shared in the spotlight.
Forever Young is a one-woman, verbatim theatre piece devised entirely from a series of interviews with seven elders. The youngest interviewee is 68, and the oldest is 92. Some tell extraordinary stories of achievement, survival, and grit; others heartfelt descriptions of familial connection, faith, and friendship.
Altogether, Forever Young is a collage of humanity, showcasing our never ending search for clarity on what it means to live and what comes after.
Originally concieved for Elisheva's honors senior thesis, Forever Young was debuted during Freeplay Weekend Festival at the University of Minnesota.
Due to an overwhelmingly positive response, Elisheva remounted the show to a packed house at Minnesota Hillel just three weeks later.
In the fall of 2026, Elisheva will once again perform Forever Young, this time for a Milwaukee crowd.
UMN Freeplay Festival, 2/14 - 2/15, 2026
